"I stumble and fall from a garden wall. In the hospital they repair my broken right shoulder with eleven screws and a new shoulder cap - all of precious titanium. But during five months of intensive physiotherapy I still can't use my right hand for painting. What shall I do? Give up in despair and resignation? Never! I decide to paint with my left hand. The tips of my fingers and the ball of my hand become my primary tools, acrylic color my medium.
Breaking out of my habitual approach to painting I abandon everything previously farniliar. I enter virgin territory hitherto unknown to me. I break through to free play with whatever is.
My new paintings are more courageous. No fear of failure; Just letting go, trusting my free and creative Self."
